I know you have been waiting for installment 2 of “This Tourist is Tired Out!” Well, here it is!
On our second day of COUSIN FUN, we decided to do something COOL!
No, we didn’t go to White Water this time (though you mustn’t forget about the Rockin’ and Rollin’ Summer Sweepstakes – enter to win!). We went to the Cool Off Water Chute.
For those of you who haven’t heard of this little treasure, it is a very fun water slide right in the middle of the 76 strip (well, not actually in the middle of the strip itself, but you know what I mean!). It’s not big and fancy, but my kids LOVE it! You pay by the hour ($15/person) or half-hour ($10/person).
The thing my kids love the most is that you are allowed to make “trains” – the challenge is trying to stay connected the entire way down! Here was one successful attempt – their train made it all the way to the bottom of the slide!
Then, they took some time going solo. Look at all these ways to ride!
One really nice thing about this attraction is the shady viewing/rest areas down by the bottom of the slide – that’s where I spent my time at the Water Chute (except, of course, when I went back up the hill to the concession stand to get a sno-cone. I hadn’t had one in a LONG time – what a treat!). What a kick to watch the kids come down again and again and AGAIN!
After an hour of riding, the kids had had their fill. Mission accomplished – I think we sufficiently wore them out!
Stay tuned for the last installment of “This Tourist is Tired Out”! Hint, hint. We’re heading back to The Track!
