After several weeks of cooler temperatures and rainy days, summer weather has officially arrived!
Frankly, it is just HOT!
Here are a few tips to escape from the heat and make the most of your vacation:
1) When you visit The Track during the heat of the day, start by riding the bumper boats. Why? Well, the bumper boats are descriptively named “SuperSoaker” boats for a reason. Each is equipped with a water cannon that is guaranteed to soak your fellow boaters. You will get wet! After you finish, head on over to your go-kart track of choice. When you start whizzing around the track, you are sure to cool off . . . wet clothes + breeze = built-in air conditioning!
2) When you’re all dried out, head inside to experience The Track’s indoor attractions. All locations have great arcades, but Track 5 has a few special indoor attractions. This location is where you can play Laser Tag, which is especially fun if you can get your whole family to play! New this year is the Laser Maze Challenge. Also new this year is Route 76 Glow Golf. This is an indoor, 9-hole, black-light mini-golf course that is truly a work of art (and fun to play!). One of The Track’s very talented employees designed and painted the murals that surround the course. You have to see it! The pictures don’t do it justice!
3) When you’re done playing at The Track, you might want to stay cool by going to one of these high-energy, family-friendly shows. Each of these shows is unique, and each has captivated people of all ages in my family:
Prince Ivan (check out their Facebook page here) is a new show this year playing at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater. We attended their CD release concert a few weeks ago and were so impressed with their music and the show production. Check it out!
Bucket N Boards is crazy, but oh so much fun! The guys are so creative, silly, and entertaining. You will laugh!
The Haygoods are one talented family. You will enjoy their energy, talent, and great mix of music . . . everyone in your family will hear something they enjoy!
I hope these suggestions help you escape the heat and make the most of your time in Branson . . . enjoy!
