A Night on the Town!

Stay Cool!
Because You Asked!

Amy, a mom with the "inside track," and her daughters.

Last Friday night, I got to experience The Track through the eyes of a group of fourteen year old girls.

It was an evening full of things that I expected . . . and just as many things that I should have expected!

Let me explain . . .

We started the evening with a group picture.  This was no surprise.  Anyone who has a teenage girl expects this initiation into a night of fun:

We headed straight over to The Track at Pirate’s Cove.  As I recently explained in this post, this has become my girls’ favorite classic track.  Naturally, my daughter wanted to share the love with her pals.  So, off we went!  As expected, the girls had a blast on this track.  But, there were a couple of things that I didn’t expect . . . but should have!

Yes, I definitely should have expected to be the designated cell phone holder . . . next time I’ll bring an extra bag!

Yes, I expected the girls to have a great time riding go-karts, but I have to admit that I did not expect the immensely competitive spirit amongst the group.  And, I certainly didn’t expect the girls to get the whistle blown at them for “risky” driving (gasp!). Of course, as expected, they shaped right up after that first warning 🙂

After we finished at The Track at Pirate’s Cove, we headed over to Track 4.  The first part of the evening was filled with lots of things I expected:

They rode (and loved!) Heavy Metal High Rise and got their picture made in this phot-op spot (they look pretty tough, huh?!):

They were fierce on the bumper cars:

Some of them rode the SkyCoaster (yikes!):

Yes, all these things were expected.  But, what I did not expect (but should have!) was the “extra curricular” fun that was had on the Gator Golf course:

Thank you, Gator Golf, for providing so much entertainment for these girls! What a great night on the town!
